As Nigeria celebrate her 63rd independence, Nigerian youths under the initiative of Rising-Up for a United Nigeria (RUN), an umbrella organisation for millions of youths and civic society organisations has urged Nigerians across ethnic and religious divides to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led adminstration to enable it deliver sustainable dividends of democracy and a prosperous future all.

Speaking at a mega youth rally at the Unity Fountain, Abuja on Monday to commemorate this year’s independence celebration, convener of RUN, Amb. Solomon Adodo, and the President of Civil Society and Youth Groups, Hon. Mike Msuaan noted that despite the myriad of challenges that have besieged Nigeria, the country has triumphed and shown great hope for a better tomorrow and all hands must be on deck.

According to Amb. Solomon Adodo, “it’ll be unrealistic to pretend that we don’t have problems. As a nation, we are confronted by series of challenges but with the kind of leader we have now, there’s no doubt that we’re already at the gate of our solution and in no distant time, Nigeria will be transformed like any other developed country in the world, standing shoulder to shoulder with other world economies. This is our hope and it’ll be a reality if we cooperate with Mr. President in his renewed hope agenda.

While reaffirming the excellent leadership qualities of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that have served to galvanise the economy and shredded insecurity into pieces, the youth Initiative lauded the President for having a tack for choosing the best and qualified hands from security to economy to the executive and that Nigerians will never be disappointed.

“Mr. President has come prepared to deliver Nigeria from the plague of misgovernance and corruption. The star-studded team of President Tinubu has clearly shown that he has placed merit above favouritism and parochial Interests. His security chiefs and executives are best any government has assembled so far in the history of the country. All he needs is our support,” the leader implored.

In the message which was aired across all major media channels in presence of millions of Nigerians, the youth group also used the opportunity to appreciate the military and other security agencies for exhibiting the highest level of professionalism which has led to the crushing of all security threats in the country.

“On this epoch event, it’ll be a great disservice not to remember the tireless efforts of our military especially the Nigerian Army in sustaining our democracy in the midst of heated agitations by separatists, terrorists and other unimaginable security threats. The Nigerian Army under the leadership of the current Chief of Army Staff, Maj Gen TA Lagbaja has been remarkable bold and courageous efforts in the trenches to ensure the peace and security is restored in the country. He deserves accolades and we thank President Tinubu for picking the right man for the job”, the speaker remarked.

The youth Initiative equally sent a stern warning to enemies of Nigeria who want to hide under the cloak of anarchy by poisoning the minds of Nigerian youths so that they can infiltrate their ranks to cause anarchy, disunity and eventual disintegration of the country, insisting that with a courageous, focused and dedicated leader like Tinubu, Nigeria is indeed free and on the path to prosperity is assured.

“Let is make it abundantly clear that Nigerian youths are solidly behind the administration of President Bola Tinubu. We have unwavering hope in his administration and no amount of distractions can change our firm conviction. Nigeria is indeed free and independent of all colonial and neocolonial encumbrances. With the team assembled so far starting with the Secretary to Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume and all other appointees, Nigeria is on the path of success and can stand shoulder to shoulder with any other country in the world if we support the bold initiatives of this adminstration,” the speaker added.

The youth group finally passed an overwhelming vote of confidence on the All Progressives Congress (APC) adminstration of President Tinubu, adding that just 63 years ago, Nigeria became an independent country. As a relatively young republic, the future is bright and with Tinubu and his workaholic team at the helms of affairs, Nigeria will prosper and the future of youths secured.
